Karekare Beach is one of those places that immediately makes everything feel quieter. The walk down through the bush, the black sand under your feet, the constant movement of the ocean - it pulls you out of your head and into the moment. I love photographing in places like this, where the landscape does so much of the work for you and the light is always changing and magnificent.
